The mighty Giceecee (pronounced gee-see-see) are determined to catch the enigmatic Joe and Josephine (the Running Couple). In this chapter Joe and Josephine have trapped the mighty Giceecee in Nana's floral sofa and are now free to continue their boundless search for the lost Art of Art*.
*That ever-elusive artwork that will define all future works.
THE PROJECT
In The IKEA Home Project will mark the 30th birthday of the iconic KLIPPAN sofa, one of IKEA's most recognisable and affordable items. A selection of acclaimed Australian artists are creating unique works which the public can buy. The artists create a one-off KLIPPAN cover in their own style, focusing on the theme of ‘home’.
Proceeds of the auction will be given as a cash donation to the Victorian Bushfire Relief effort.
Contributing artists, Mini Graff, Catherine Martin, Jasper Knight and Pete Volich talk about the inspiration behind their designs and the materials they used to create their KLIPPAN cover.
