The Other Side of Taralga January 2006
For 3 months Mini Graff lived in the small New South Wales town of Taralga. During this time Mini created a series of photographic scenes of an imaginary landscape - the landscape from her childhood nightmares.
To capture the true feeling of fear, drawings were created at night, in the dark, far from the farm house. Stencils were made from a selection of these drawings. These were then set against a wallpaper style backdrop. Lone, vulnerable animals were allowed to roam the space, as they were stalked by evil predators. A series of 3 limited edition photographs make up the complete artwork. |
